I deviated from the recipe by using a chuck roast (slow cooked 5 hours instead of ground chuck. It made the meal that much hardier with the thick strands of chuck throughout. I also turned up the heat a little by adding a Serrano chili to the saute...
Wonderful flavor, will definitely make this again, the wife and kids loved it!

I don't even like chili, but I liked this one. Made it for the family and they gobbled it up. I even tried it with ground turkey and it was great. It's freezing cold in New Jersey tonight so I'm making it again and leaving the pot on the stove when everybody comes and goes this evening. Economical too.

Has to be one of the best Chili's we've had. After tasting, we wanted a little more heat, so we added 3 tbsp. of hot sauce. Perfect cozy meal for a cold evening. We made it at the beginning of the week, and the flavor kept developing as we ate it throughout the week! Bam! Emeril you're the man.

This chili has fabulous flavor with all of its spices. It's wonderful how the dish deviates from the run of the mill chili flavor making it more complex and still comforting. I appreciate Emeril sharing all of his recipes.
