Wonderful change from plain old stuffing. VERY moist, flavorful and filling. Keeps well so it's terrific for leftovers.

I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving and it turned out okay. It looks very pretty when it first comes out of the oven which makes for a nice presentation. I found the taste a little bland, but our guests seemed to enjoy it. I will know next time to add more spices.

This Apple and Pecan Spoonbread was a hit with our diverse crowd. Every year we try several new recipes to add to old favorites. This spoonbread was delicious, and will be an old favorite next year. It was easy to prepare and the lovely golden brown color made a beautiful presentation. Pleasing meat loving Cajuns and new generation Vegans at the same table is always challenging. The recipe worked for both groups and was the most asked for recipe from our Thanksgiving feast.

When am I supposed to add the sauted vegetables????? I'm going to guess because I'm making it for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I'll add them to the cornmeal mixture right before folding in the eggwhites. Can't remember when you added them on the show. Will let you all know how it turned out. Sounds yummy. Happy Turkey Day!
