This is AWESOME. I have made it at the holidays for several years now and it's always a hit. It's simple and sooo tasty. I actually have not tried the cider sauce but I do a caramel drizzle on the plate and fresh whipped cream on top and it's yummy. I plan on making this more often than just at Christmas-time!! So glad I found this recipe.

Both the bread pudding and the sauce turned out perfectly. I do not have a double boiler but used a small stainless bowl over my saucepan and it turned out delicious. The mix of fresh and dried apples was nice for texture. This will be my go-to bread pudding recipe. Watch it carefully in the oven. Mine was done and nicely browned on top after 43 minutes. Outstanding!!!

I liked the mix of fresh and dried apples. Could use some more spice. Raisin challah worked great as a base. I didn't make the sauce and instead served it with vanilla ice cream. It was good.

I have access to Apple Streudel Bread and use it instead of Cinnamon Raisin. Have never made this for anyone who didn't beg for more or the recipe. Usually split the recipe between two containers prior to baking. Chill one thoroughly and cut into individual serving sizes for the freezer.

This is by far, the best bread pudding I've ever had in my life. All of my family and friends beg me to make this recipe all the time. Try subbing Calvados for the hard cider, yummy! Make sure you don't leave the sauce while cooking, it can break in a blink of an eye. Truly, try this recipe, you'll never make any other.

The bread pudding was good, but the sauce did not turn out. I would make the bread pudding again, but top with jarred caramel sauce and whipped cream.

I used just cinnamon bread and added walnuts. The sauce was good on it's own but I added cinnamon and nutmeg to it and it was fantastic!!!

Excellent on its own even without the sauce and I don't even like bread pudding!
