I made these to bring into work for my birthday treat. Everyone loved them. I made them in my mini muffin tin and baked them for 15 minutes. I prefer them without the steusel topping, but either way they are delicious!

I loved these! Several of my family members are allergic to nuts so I left them out of the muffins. Instead of nuts in the streusel topping, I substituted finely ground up pretzels. Next time I make them, I will use tin liners so they don't stick. I also only cooked mine for 15 minutes, and they were perfect. These would be great for a brunch, or a breakfast.

These muffins were tasty!!! I made them for a bake sale for church. I used pecans instead of walnuts and grated the apples instead of chopped them (get all the juice too!. Next time I'd like to try sour cream instead of buttermilk. Also like princesslhicks said every oven is different. I checked them at about 18mins in and they were ready to come out. If your toothpick comes out clean with little crumbs on it and the muffins bounces back when you lightly poke them they're ready in my book. I imagine if you bake them the whole 25 mins you will get a dry muffin. Mine were moist and tasty!!!

These muffins were excellent! I didn't have sour cream or buttermilk, so I used plain greek yogurt and they came out great. I also didn't have unsalted butter, so I used salted and it didn't seem to make a difference to me.
My apples came right from the orchard - DELICIOUS!

I added some home made apple sauce instead of the chopped apples and flax seed to make it somewhat healthy. I also added some walnuts on top to add to this fabulous recipe :-

These muffins are great! I used sour cream and a ripe pear instead of apple. They are very moist and the topping was perfect. I also left out the nuts. I suggest eating them while they're warm.

My entire family enjoyed this on Christmas morning. I used sourcream instead of buttermilk. From reading the reviews, I was afraid it would be too dry so I added 4 ounces of applesauce. Next time I will try without the applesauce. This was extremly moist and the topping was delicous!
