This is an easy recipe to customize to your taste (and the ingredients you have on hand! . I have made it with carrots and parsnips, or substituted chunks of baked apples for the apple sauce. I have also sliced the loin into individual portions prior to cooking. A great make-ahead company dish.

This pork roast was easy to make and came out fork tender. There is an error in the recipte, however. At the top and elsewhere, it says that the total cook time is 3 hours. But after cooking 3 hours, one is supposed to add the glaze and cook another hour. The meat was still a bit tough at 3 hours, so I think a total of four hours is right.

This is by far the best pork loin I've ever made! I did sub carrots for the parsnips as my grocery store didnt' have any. VERY very big hit with my entire family! YUM!

this thing tasted very bitter and smokey. (no i didn't over cook it The whole thing tasted like turnips. so if you like them, then i guess you'll like this. it had no flavor but sweet turnipness. what a waste!

I'm amazed this recipe received so many rave reviews! Although I didn't think it was terrible, my family agreed that it was one of the worst meals I've ever made! The pork itself held together, but was a bit on the dry side and unexciting. As for the vegetables, one could just boil them to death in chicken stock and they would taste the same! Do yourself a favor - roast the loin with potatoes and veg and you'll have a much more flavorful dinner!

We cooked this recipe and it was great but pretty rich so we took it upon ourselves to make some white rice to go with this and that made it perfect. We will definitely add this to our family recipe book.
