I tripled the cilantro and doubled the sesame seeds. Did not do the mayo concoction as it is meant for the wings (should have been excluded. I'm not a big cole slaw fan but I did enjoy this.

Very delicious! I was also confused about adding the mayo and soy sauce mixture. I added it and it tasted great. If I make it again, I will skip the vegetable oil. This time I added extra cabbage, onions and cilantro.

The slaw is delicious, but what is the mayonnaise soy / sugar mixture for? Once I tossed the slaw with the other wet ingredients it became clear that the mayonnaise must be for the chicken wings, because the slaw was complete and very good without it. Would have been 4 star without the wasted mayonnaise, soy and sugar.

This asian slaw turned out so great! All of my friends loved it and came back for seconds (and thirds!. I added some yellow and green bell pepper, and I used a pre-shredded package of broccoli slaw instead of the purple cabbage. It was really a huge success with my guests, and it really complemented my main dish of Asian Chicken Burgers (recipe from Food Network Magazine, Jan/Feb 2011.

Good flavor but it was kind of gloopy and a little too saucy. I bought pre-shredded cabbage, which made it super fast to create but for the green cabbage I got the angel hair shredded stuff and it marinates so quickly it was almost compost by the time my potstickers were done. Also, i think that the 1/4 of vegetable oil is overkill. Next time I'll stick to the normal shred size for the cabbage and I will play it by ear when adding the oil.
Side note: My husband thought it was perfect as-is!

We had it with marinated chicken brst & brn rice cooked in org chick stk. Very versatile. The fam loved it the under-the-weather friend I took it too. (she wanted the recipe

This is a really great recipe! I added toasted ramen noodles to mine for some extra crunch. I do have a question about the recipe though- The instructions never say what to do with the mayo/soy glaze mixture. Are you supposed to mix the mayo/soy glaze with the oils/vinegars ect before tossing the slaw? I assume so, but the instructions do not specify.

This is very unusal sounding, but my whole family really raves when I fix it. It's sweet/ tangy, and not bitter as some slaws are. I use it with pork, hamburgers, steak and sandwiches, it goes great with all of them. I even use it on pulled pork sandwiches. You gotta try it! Irishlynn
