Lovely dense, moist bread with an awesome dark crust. Makes one perfect loaf every time.
I made a couple alterations as I find veg. shortening repulsive...we used 1 stick of butter. 3 good size bananas instead of 3/4cup. At the end I threw in a cup of chopped pecans and 1/2 cup mini-choco chips. Divine! Emeril always makes it tasty!

I love this recipe. In the past I have had trouble with banana bread- it is sometimes too mushy in the middle or does not cook evenly. However, this recipe is not only super simple, but it cooked perfectly -I set the timer to cook for 55 minutes- and tasted absolutely amazing. I followed all of the directions except I used two bananas instead of measuring 3/4 c and I added a teaspoon of vanilla.

THIS IS THE BEST BANANA BREAD I HAVE EVER TASTED OR MADE.
super easy to make my twins call it banana cake and ask for it quite often. Will recommend to anyone, I even increased the banana in it and still didn't mess it up.
I have even had co workers request the recipe or even asked me to make it for them. No regrets making this

This is the best ever! It is so moist, great texture , and freezes well. I make it in small loaf pans, and we use it for breakfast bread. It can be lightly toasted.

This was a great recipe. Because I live in Hawaii I was able to use local bananas which added alot of extra flavor, I also had the macadamia nuts in the pantry. I did add a little more cinnamon but overall, loved this.

It was very yummy! I did make a few adjustments though. I used half a cup of cinnamon applesauce, and a few tablespoons of butter. I used about a cup of smashed bananas, and I'd advise to use an extra pinch of cinnamon. I used one pinch and really couldn't tell there was cinnamon in it. Overall, it smelled and tasted delish! Very simple and easy. My family really only cooks Vietnamese food in this house, but I still had all the ingredients already!
