This is the very best banana bread that my family and I have ever tasted. I will surely use the recipe again and agian. Thinking about making a cake out of it too. Maybe with some cream cheese frosting, ir just by itself. YUMMY!!!

Don't know why this recipe is shown as intermediate-its the easiest recipe to make and not time consuming at all. Great!

I've made this a lot and it comes out perfectly moist every time! I gave some loaves away last year a christmas treats to family members and they rave about it!

I adapted a healthy twist to this fantastic recipe, so it would have added good, nutritious value. Instead of 2 cups of flour, I combined one cup of whole wheat flour, and one cup of quick oats. Then I substituted the white sugar with Brown Sugar/Splenda. I used pecans instead of walnuts (personal preference, and roughly chopped a 3rd banana and folded it into the dough with the nuts.
This dough is also EXCELLENT baked as muffins, but make sure to bake plenty, because the dissappear faster than a gold-diggers love! All of our friends and family call me The Muffin Queen now!
Thanks Emeril for excellent recipes, and for inspiring so many hobby chefs! My family sings your praises!

This is my go-to banana bread recipe!! Over the years, I've learned to use 3 bananas and sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon and sugar on top before baking. I usually make mini loaves or muffins so I can freeze some of it - I've found mini loaves and muffins usually bake within 35-40 minutes.
