This has a perfect consistency and flavor! It's a wonderful comfort food and is a perfect potluck dish. I made the sauce with the rum once, but found it to be too strong. I just leave the rum out now and serve it on the side. I make this several times a year and always get rave reviews. YUM!

very good, I used half croisssant and half french bread. added only whiping cream to sauce not to the bread, use whole milk and evaporated milk to bread. added 1/4 rum more if you want and 2 tablespoon kahlua coffee liquer to sauce. dusted it with sanding white sugar on top before baking it. my coworker who is English says that was the best bread pudding he has tasted nothing like it! I layered my baking dish with banana leaves to give it more flavor and it worked. did not use nuts, I run out of walnuts in the pantry. I will try it with bourbon next time. thanks this is a keeper!

This is the best bread pudding! My family and co-workers are begging me to make it again and again. The bananas give this recipe an unforgetable aroma and taste.

Excellent bread pudding. I followed the recipe and did add some cranberries as I had them around the house. Will definately make again.

I made this recipe as the dessert for Easter dinner. Every one enjoyed it very much. My in-laws, who are Dutch, had never had a bread pudding before, so they were quite intriqued with the dessert. The sauce that accompanied the pudding was delectable. I would definitely make this recipe again. Thanks Emeril for another great recipe.

This was a rave for the family at Easter brunch. Since we have a pregnant person eating we skipped the alcohol, but I added orange flavored cranberries and 1 additional banana to the recipe. Dad said it tasted good cold and re-heated well. Will make it again at some point.

I made this yesterday. My husband liked it and he is a VERY picky eater. The rum sauce was good, but a bit strong. I had never made bread pudding before and this will probably be the ONLY way I make it now! :-

I made this for dessert last night and it was delicious. I skipped adding butter to the bread cubes (only doing the pan and replaced the cream with skim milk. This reduced the fat/serving by over 20g and reduced the calories accordingly. If you don't want this to be quite as sweet, removing some of the sugar, maybe up to 1/4 or it, would not change the taste all that much.

Otherwise, a big hit and will be added to my (currently rather limited dessert repetoire.
