I have made this several times and this weekend I think I finally perfected it. I cooked the pork in my slow cooker overnight (about 10 hours total and it just fell apart when I finally removed it. The times I've tried to cook it in the oven for the recommended time it just wasn't tender enough and had to be chopped. The sauce is excellent if you like a tangy, North Carolina-style sauce. Haven't tried the pickles, but the slaw is excellent and has become a much-requested favorite.

I made this recipe for a function at work and it was a hit. It's the best I've ever had/made. It's time consuming so you have to do this when you have that kind of time. I didn't make the cole slaw or fried pickles so I can't speak to how they are. They sound good.

I make this 2-3 times a year and it always gets rave reviews. Make sure you let it sit overnight in the spices. I cook mine in a crock pot on low temp for 6-7 hrs. it produces a great amount of gravy/fluid which I pour over the meat once it is pulled apart. keeps everything nice a moist.

I have made this pulled pork 2-3 times now and it turns out delicious! I do it in my slow cooker on low for about 8-9 hours. I throw in half of the wet mop sauce and by the end of those 8 hours it has absorbed all of the mop sauce and the pork literally just falls apart. I also heat my bbq sauce up on the stove a little bit before tossing in with the pulled pork. also added some additional red pepper flakes since we like things spicy in my house. try it, you will love it

This was a great recipe for the pulled pork and the cole slaw. You only need half the recipe's amount for the mop basting sauce. Definitely something I'll make again!

OHH SOO tasty! I had to increase temperature to 300 degrees and cook it in the oven for 7 ? hours. Pork was juicy tender and so good. Next timeI would decrease the hot pepper flakes in the basting sauce.
