I have made this recipe several times for company and they loved it every time. It's really easy to make and can be made ahead of time so you don't have a lot of dish pans in the kitchen when the guests arrive. Not really expensive to make!

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed with this recipe. My daughter made the comment that while it was cooking the house 'smelled like grandmas' and what's worse it tasted like mothballs. I stuck exactly to the recipe using good wine and fresh ingredients but sad to say I felt it was an expensive waste of time and money!

I've cooked this recipe in many, many occasions for different people, in order to make it great chose good quality meat, no need all the veggies if you are a meat lover, everybody loves it!!

This is an incredible main dish. Its both fancy and simple on the table, but the taste wonderfully complex. All these years I thought puff pastry would be as trying as filo dough-but its easy. I will say that this recipe requires a big chunk of time. I used sirloin tips and found that I could cut the simmer time down by almost an hour. Making the bulk of the recipe the night before works well.

This is truly a special recipe. The time spent is well worth the result. Unbeatable flavor.

I thought this was very good, but needed alot more veggies to balance it out. I even added extra carrots and even celery, but the meat just overtook the dish. I will mke this again, but add less meat, more veggies...then it will be the perfect one-pot comfort food meal. Thanks Emeril!

I made a few minor adjustments and made this in the crockpot. It was much better.

very good...time consuming though..it might be easier to make it the day before b/c filling has to be cooled.

Don't let the long list of ingredients scare you off. Just use what vegies you have on hand. This has great flavor and the puff pastery makes it special. Kids and hubby loved it!
