My son and everyone I've served this to just raves about the meat marinade. I don't let them know how incredibly simple it is unless they're asking for the recipe. It is a perfectly simple marinade. Delish. As for the peanut sauce, I stick with my tried and true South Beach Diet recipe for peanut sauce because it is to die for.

Followed the recipe to the letter, it was delicious. Just the right kick, just the right creaminess and not too sweet. It was perfect, except no leftovers.

I agree with the reviewers, the peanut sauce is amazing. Adding the coconut milk and fish sauce made it more complex than the typical recipe. I made brown rice, put out the raw veggies (included raw bean sprouts and the meat. Everyone made their own lettuce wraps. It was simple to make and fun to eat. For the extra sauce, it freezes very nicely. So does your left over coconut milk...ready for a curry dish. And, the salty meat: I rinsed it and patted it dry and it was great. The dryer meat also grills crispier.

I quadrupled this recipe for a big party and it was great. Of course I ended up with too much sauce! I liked the sauce compared to other satay sauces I've made but the addition of coconut milk, alas, gave it a short refrigerator-life. I'll make it again and use a little more peanut butter and some other liquid rather than the coconut milk.

As it is written it is a 4 star recipe. I know it's Emeril, I adore him too. Put I added a lttle more fish suace, about a teaspoon and toastedsesame oil, about another teaspoon and I think it made the sauce more authentic.

I'm not big on teriyaki so I made my own marinade for the beef. I did however make the dipping sauce and OMG was it the best ever!
Thanks Emeril,,,, this peanut sauce is a keeper.

The peanut sauce was fantastic - it went well with several other asian appetizers I prepared for New Years. It gets really thick upon cooling, but only takes a zap in the microwave to get it the right consistencey for your next use.

I like spicy food, so next time, I will add either some chili paste or pepper flakes to the marinade for the beef. I used thin sliced sirloin steaks and just cut into strips with kitchen shears and the beef still turned out nice and moist - not too chewy at all.

My beef turned out a bit salty, I think I'll try a different Teriyaki sauce for the marinade next time. However, the PEANUT sauce is TO DIE FOR! YUM YUM! I added a bit more brown sugar to taste, but it was FABULOUS! Even though there are quite a few ingredients in the sauce, it was WELL worth it! BIG HIT!!!!!
