The waffles were amazingly crispy and fluffy! Perfect and way easy! I was surprised how they came out since I rarely cook or make anything.

Mine did not turn out! They looked more like pancakes than waffles. It may be how I followed the recipe rather than the recipe itself...but I thought I followed it correctly. A couple did come out looking more like waffles; but, they were too dense, not light and fluffy, and definitely not crispy on the outside. Did I do something wrong?

The waffle recipe is the best I've ever used. As long as you don't over mix the batter and fold the egg whites in, you will have fluffy, tasty waffles every time! No more frozen waffles for me!

    Mr. Emeril,

Thank you for never making breakfast the same. The Belgian-Style Waffles with Black Pepper Candied Bacon, Pecan Butter and Cane Syrup is out of this world delicious and we will NEVER go back to the box again!

We're writing from Heidelberg, Germany and will visit our relatives in Jersey this summer. We will bring with us many gifts. This receipe will be on our top to-do must share to include.

Again, thank you and keep on making the world a more delicious place to be!

I made these for a New Years Day Breakfast and they were fantastic!!! It was my first time making waffles from scratch and they turned out wonderfully. No more box waffle mix for me!! Thanks Emeril!!

They didn't come out crispy on the outside like a waffle should. It was a pretty dense waffle, which is not what I expected since I thought the whipped egg white would make it light and airy. But it just wasn't.

I saw this on Emeril's show and decided to try it for my family one weekend. It was excellent, I did change the bacon (i don't eat pork, but the Pecan Butter set the whole dish off really well. What really go me was the egg whites mixed with the waffle batter.
    It was really great.
