    Excellent pie!!! Its the first apple pie that I ever made with walnuts. That made to be a wonderful compliment to the pie!

    This was my first pie I have ever made and it was GREAT. I actually used a Pillsbury Pie crust from the local store because I have never had any luck making crust. My mom who is an excellent pie maker said the crust was delicious.
    The walnuts added a dimension to the pie that was out of this world. I had some fresh boysenberries that I added to the apples. Yes, this pie was a hit.

    I made the filling for this pie and made the pie using Ina Garten's pie crust recipe. The result was fantastic! This pie filling is absolutely delicious. The sweetness of the sugars complements the tartness of the Granny Smith apples beautifully, and the toasted nuts add wonderful flavor (I used pecans, as my husband is allergic to walnuts. I am a harsh critic of pies and pie crust, but this one was just perfect.

    This is the best ever apple pie recipe!.....Full of apple flavor (not filling and beautiful! Highly rec'd for beginners..very easy with great results.
