I have made these every Christmas morning for the last few years and they are amazing. Don't be nervous about the starter recipe because it is super simple. Delicious!

Just plain fantastic! They were nothing short of perfect. I love cooking with my sourdough poolish and it didnt disappoint me here with these pancakes. Kids loved them and of course me too.

Good, but not spectacular. I prefer the regular Joy of Cooking pancake recipe.

These were the best pancakes I have ever had. My husband said better than the XXXX.
My starter was very active and these were very puffy.

Thick, fluffy pancakes that taste like something you'd get at a nice restaurant. Emeril's recipes rock!

Yummy, yummy, yummy! The only problem I had was flipping them. They seemed to be a bit more dry than normal pancakes and some of them crumbled a bit. Other than that great!

More time consuming than regular pancakes, but a nice change.
