I made this for St.Pats theme dinner and was amazed! So good! I used hillshire sausage instead of bacon and it was delicious! Used one and half bottles of coors light. The beer makes it! Also added some garlic powder. Served with mashed potatoes. So easy! Must make!

This was outstanding! I used peppercorn encrusted bacon and Miller GD. It was buttery and peppery with alittle crunch. I loved it, kids loved it and hubby loved it! Next time I will serve it on a pulled pork sandwich..

I'm back again. This is my go-to recipe when I want good cabbage. Sometimes I sub chicken stock for beer, with equally great results.

This was amazingly wonderful! Aced it again Emeril! I was lucky enough to have Irish rashers so I used them rather than the bacon (cut into lardons. I will most definitely make again and as was noted in an earlier post, even people who don't like cabbage will really like this! Easy and delicious!

I've never been a cabbage lover. However, in my CSA box I got a head of cabbage and thought I'd try this recipe. This is awesome. So tasty and yummy. I used a dark imported beer and an applewood smoked bacon. I served the braised cabbage over mashed potatoes. So, good. I'm having this for Saint Patrick's Day dinner. Can't wait.

Excellent! I followed the recipe closely and it was delicious. I used Savoy and a Sam Adams and while lovely like that, I added a bit of red wine vinegar when I re-seasoned at the end. I only did that because the cabbage was somewhat bitter and I'm not into that. A different type of cabbage may solve that, though.

Try this on people who say they do not like cabbage and I bet they will change their minds. My husband did.

This was sooo good. The cabbage was sweet & buttery. I only used 5 small pieces of bacon, drained off a little of the grease, and 1 bottle of Bud Light. Delicious!!!

I didn't have any beer so added beef broth instead. Still an excellent recipe!

I prefer to drink my beer, so I use beef stock instead. This is a great, simple recipe with great flavor. If you try it, you'll find yourself eating cabbage much more often.
