The custard is wonderful; the caramel is bitter. I don't know if is the lemon juice or it was cooked too long. Also the baking time is off on this one in an electric range at least. I had to bake this 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The cook times differ between the top banner and the written instructions. How long do you cook this flan? 1 hour 45 minutes or 90 minutes? Some needs to review the recipes

Made this for a party last week...some guests commented that it was refreshing and different...other guests stated that it was too sweet and they couldn't have too much of it...but it's definately different than your traditional cheese flan....easy to make....took longer to bake than stated on recipe!
