This recipe was pretty good. I used garlic-flavored Texas Toast but next time I think I'll use the "5-cheese" flavored. I also think bacon would add a better texture.

I edited the recipe after reading several reviews and brought this into the office. 10 eggs, 1.25c half&half, 1 small anahiem chilli (not very spicy, 8 PFarms 5 cheese texas toasts slices, green onion and a package of turkey bacon. Got lots of praise!

This recipe is delicious!! I made 2 of these for our Sunday School class, which only had about 10 people in it that day, and there was not a morsel left! I mad one without onions, though, as it seemed like a lot of onions for me....I WILL be making this again very very soon, at the request of several members.

First, thanks for all the previous reviews..it helped me alter this wonderful recipe.
9 eggs
1-1/2 cup half and half
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, chopped
Bakery wheat bread
3 tablespoons picante sauce
1-1/2 pound pork sausage
1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese
Seasoned with Slap Ya Mama
Mixed eggs and seasoned. Cooked sausage ? green onions and mushrooms. Cooled then added eggs.
Spayed PAM in a 9 x 13 baking dish?arranged bread to fit the bottom.
Added egg/sausage mixture ? topped with cheeses. Covered and refrigerated over night.
Next morning baked for a good hour @350 or when knife came out clean.
Talk about delicious!! My house guest took the recipe with them!!

I made this recipe for Easter Brunch and everyone loved it! I read the reviews before making it and all of the suggestions were good ones. I added 3 more eggs, used 1/2C more half & half and used ham instead of sausage (it had a LITTLE less fat, also you don't need as much meat as it calls for. I cooked the casserole for 35 minutes, removed the cover and cooked it for an additional 10 minutes - it was perfectly done! I love the versatility of the dish in that you can make it with any breakfast meat you prefer and it still works. This one will definitely get made again.

I made the following changes...
I used 1/4 c diced red onions INSTEAD of the green onions
I used day old Ciabatta bread
Added 4 more eggs
Added 1/4 c more half and half
Added 1/2 diced red bell pepper
I baked it for 45 minutes
It was a HUGE hit at a breakfast potluck.
