I am only rating this recipe one star short because of the cooking method! I've never completed this recipe as directed (so take that last star reduction with a grain of salt...I DEEP FRIED IT!!! IT ROCKS! Be sure to drain the turkey well before submerging it in the oil. Oh, and I did inject my turkey with Thyme, butter,& garlic salt prior to frying it.

I have made this two years now for large Thanksgiving meals. It is definitely the best-tasting turkey I've had. My entire family loved it - it was moist and had hints of flavor from the herbs, orange, and onion.

Everyone in my family was stunned on Christmas when I cooked this turkey. They always thought I really couldn't cook but thanks to this wonderful recipe I proved them all wrong! The only thing I did different was cooked the turkey in a bag...this turkey was sooo juicy and moist. It was like no other turkey I have ever tasted in my lifetime. Thankyou

First time using the brining method. Brining definitely improves the taste!
Meal was a real success. Probably the best compliment came from two guests who did not like nor generally eat 'white meat'. They loved the breast portion, saying that it was moist and very tasty.

I made this on Thanksgiving for my family and friends, and on Christmas for my husband's office party. Everyone loved it! I will be using this recipe again the next holidays.

The turkey is the moistest and best floavored I have ever cooked. People say that they have not ever eating turkey that tastes so good and is so moist. The brine does the trick.
