This was a super tasty, easy dish to make. I served it for Thanksgiving and it was even enjoyed by non-sprout lovers. I skipped the milk-steeping process and simply warmed the milk before adding it to the roux mixture, and the end result was absolutely heavenly. Will definitely make this again!

I followed the directions exactly. Too much flour, I think. The sauce came out pretty thick. Otherwise, very tasty. I would make sure the sprouts were almost done before baking.

I made in advance and then took to my in-laws for Turkey Day...so we had to reheat in the oven to serve. Cooking twice made it overdone but it was still good. If I make again I will not cook as much the first time and then finish cooking (instead if reheating when I get there.

Lawrence, when you have the white sauce made would be a good time to put it in. It is a classic ingredient for bechamel sauce. I am just giving this 3 stars b/c I haven't made it - just now found the recipe. Glad to hear it turned out well!

Love brussel sprouts to begin with (so that helped. USED 2% milk (BY MISTAKE so I had to use more flour to thicken it up to what I thought it should be..... before entering the oven. Came great, really tasty! Oh and btw, when was I supposed to use the nutmeg? Recipe did not say. So, I just sprinkled on top of breadcrumbs b4 baking.

I used half the butter called for, 1 percent milk, and a sharp English cheddar and it it came out great. Worth the work as long as what ever else you're cooking is easy.

I love, love, love brussels sprouts and this recipe was AMAZING. This is a new staple recipe for us. SO creamy and wonderful! I made it for Christmas dinner - with a tangerine-glazed ham. Perfect complement. Mm mm mmm.
