Not a winner in my book. The turkey was nice and moist, but too hot to eat. We like spicy in our family, but this was too much. We used the juices from the pan to make the gravy, thus, everything we put gravy on too hot to enjoy. There were no going back for seconds or a desire to eat turkey the next day.

I really dont like turkey. OK I hate turkey usually. But when I was given a free turkey I had to find a way to cook it without it coming out tasting like cardboard. This recipe is perfect. Simply perfect!! Jucy, favorful & moist all the way through! I would have never believed it. But I LOVE it!!! I will be making another for Christmas! Thank you Emril!!

I have never been too thrilled about Thanksgiving day turkey, but this recipe has totally changed my mind about that! Usually I get one small piece just to say I had some and choke it down. This year, with Emeril's recipe, I couldn't stop eating it, and it was my favorite thing on my plate.

The only thing we did differently was we stuffed it with onions and apples. Every piece of turkey was flavorful and moist, not bland and dry like the stuff I'm used to. It is not too spicy either. Just full of flavor.

    mmm.... highly recommended!

The marinade seems pretty spicy. Can anyone tell me how spicy the turkey meat is when its done? Thanks.

Three Thanksgivings ago, my husband wanted to fry a turkey. I searched for a recipe and came across this onefrom Emeril. This is the best recipe for a fried turkey. I am not a turkey eater but I've enjoyed this. He now frys one every year with this recipe. Everyone waits for it to be served. Great taste and very MOIST!!!

This is the recipe we use every year but fry the turkey after marinating for
24 hours. Everyone raves about it & we actually have to make this for friend's to have at their parties. Awesome Emeril: The injection is tough with plastic injectors. We bought a heavy duty one from Lowe's and it works allot better, and easier.

This was by far the most delicious turkey I have ever tasted. The secret ingredient was definitely the crab boil....it gave the turkey a light but unmistakable Cajun flavor. The hardest part was getting it out of the injector. Even after putting it through the blender twice, it was almost impossible to dispense. I actually had to take turns with a friend it made our hands and wrists hurt so much. Even so, I already can't wait until next Thanksgiving to do it all over again!

I tried this recipe from Emerils show and it was the greatest!! The turkey was so moist juices ran out of it when it was sliced and it was still moist when reheating the leftovers. Also, the flavor was throughout the meat, even the breast. My family wanted deep fried turkey this year but I wanted to try this recipe and now my family says if I do not make this every year I'll be in trouble.
    Thanks Emeril!

I used this injection recipe, but smoked the turkey on my Big Green Egg with some apple and pecan wood chips. This was absolutely the best turkey I've ever had. It was super moist and so flavorful. The flavor is not overpowering, it just enhances the flavor of the turkey. This is a keeper recipe for me. Thanks, Emeril, for a wonderful Thanksgiving turkey!!
