The flavor is excellent. I didn't have the onion powder for the seasoning but it still seems to taste good. My only concern is the consistency. I've had so many versions of jambalaya, I'm not sure how dry/wet it is supposed to be. I saw previous reviews that warned of mushy rice so I started with only 2.5 cups of stock and added as I felt it was needed. I still ended up with slightly mushier rice than it probably should be. Part of the problem was that the rice started sticking to the bottom of the pot so I added stock to help that, but the downside was that it was too wet. Next time I may use a nonstick pot. Also, I seared the chicken prior to using the same pot to begin the rest of the recipe to ensure the chicken would cook thoroughly. I think the next time I make this, I will adjust some things and it could be a 5-star recipe!

Love! I've made it a couple of time & it's a hit every time.
I do it without the chicken & sausage and it's still great!

delicious! My seven year old daughter kept umping and oohing, and thanking me for this meal. My husband often orders jambalaya when we eat out, but he said this jambalaya was the best by far.. (and he wasn't just saying it to be nice lol. However, my only complaint is that it is too good and it ruined my diet. I had shredded chicken from when i made enchiladas the other night and I threw that in the pot, it turned out great. Definitely making this meal for our family again

This was a great recipe. I had never made Jambalaya before, but it turned out great. One in our household did not like chicken, so I just omitted the chicken and instead added extra sausage, and it worked out well. I would definitely make this again.

This dish is very simple yet the flavor is very good. First time I ever made a Jambalaya and first time I eat it. So Im really satisfy. I doubled the serving. Definitely will keep this recipe.

This recipe was great! I had never made anything like it before and was skeptical about how it would turn out. The directions were easy to follow and everything turned out great! I would recommend this to anyone.
