The day after I saw Emeril make this, I attempted to do it. My skeptical sister liked it, and so did I! I used exactly what Emeril called for, and it seemed as if it would be complex, but it actually wasn't. Keep in mind, that this is a recipe that you can actually tailor to your taste-if you dislike Snicker bars or Skor, don't use 'em! I tried Gala apples the first time and Granny Smith the next time. Each time, it was a winner! *Keep in mind, that (although I shouldn't have to say this the Icecream doesn't come into play until AFTER the dish is done! The icecream will top off the hot apples and melt just a little bit. It will be similar to, but tastier than Hot apple pie ala mode!

I made these last year and they were yummy! I'm going to make them again today. FYI it depends on what apples use as to how tough the skins are.

I liked the idea of the recipe very much and the flavor was unique and quite nice. If I could re-do it I would peel the apples first as the skin was very chewy and add more candy. Overall it was nice though!

I had doubts about this recipe, but I am always up for trying new things. I did not use a Skor bar, but instead used a Heath only because I could not find any skor. This recipee turned out really good. I will definatly make this again.

This was somewhat a disappointment to me and my family. i don't know if i didn't put enough candy inside or what. it tasted too much like applesauce...even with the candy & ice cream. it was okay, but not something i would make again.

I like this recipe. Be careful not to overcook the apples - I reduced the cooking time. I have made them several times and just used up the Halloween candy!!
