Unfortunately, this was horrible. The 'crust' was a doughy blob, and the tomato sauce made the pizza too watery. I love Chicago-style deep dish pizza, but will have to look elsewhere to find a diy recipe that will rival the real thing.

This recipe is horrible. The crust is too doughy. It does not rise enough to be a quality deep dish pizza; and I didn't cut the dough in half as the recipe calls for. I've made may of emeril's recipes before, but this is not one of his best. I even use a deep dish pan, with oil, and that did not help. If I could have taken away the one star, I would have.

GREAT tasting pizza. The only thing I will do differently next time is bake the pizza crust for a few minutes before adding the toppings.

Love the sauce. It's hard to find the specific flour so I subsitute four cups of flour and little bit of cornmeal more sugar to taste and a splash of vanilla. I also like to replace the water for beer. As For the statment yeilding 2 crust with this recipe I only get one. The dough recipe here needs to be relooked at since it doesn't match the ingredients list. Otherwise this pizza is wonderful with changing the dough recipe.

We made this pizza dough to make pizza, and it was excellent. It will replace my old pizza dough recipe. May need to add some addl garlic and spices to dough to make even better.

There's nothing like deep Chicago Pizza. It's hot with sausage adding the BAM. The only thing it needs are some potatos with fresh ground pepper and some salt.
