Perfection. Don't go messin' with it at all. It's supposed to be just like this, so if you want real good chicken and dumplings, make this recipe. I used a mandolin to slice the carrots, onion and celery, so that part took two secs. The rest is worth investing the time.

Very tasty, used half and half instead of heavy cream. Added a jalapeno to the broth to round out the stock. A little bit of work with the dumplings but they turned out perfect. The epitamy of comfort food. Have made several times and is a family favorite.

Loved this recipe! I made slight changes to make it my own and bit healthier. As a child, my mom made dumpling rounds and they were always too doughy. I rolled the dumplings out like biscuits and cut into squares (substituted buttermilk instead of milk. My boyfriend who grew up in Louisiana really enjoyed it! *Note it does take some time and patients to make*

Great flavor Emeril, but I guess that's why you are a Super Chef! You need to be patient if you make this and don't be afraid to taste along the way, especially at the end while making the sauce. I follow this recipie to the letter and the flavor, consistency, and textures are nothing short of perfect. I add rolled dumplings to the recipie (We like noodle dumplings and it's a real touchdown! We need a rolled dumpling recipe from you emeril! Good luck to the Saints!

I have always wanted to make chicken and dumplings. This is the first and last recipe I will ever need! It was great! I did make my dumplings more plump and square rather than "noodle-like" and it still turned out very well. This will be a new addition in my rotation of family favorites. I will just pretend it doesnt have 10 tablespoons of butter in it!

My husband loves chicken and dumplings and prefers the noodle-style dumplings - the way his mother made it. I'm not a fan personally, but I use this recipe for him and he loves it. He says it comes close to what he remembers from his childhood. If it makes him happy, I'm happy.

Emeril this dish was absolutely wonderful! I only used 1 large chicken, about 5 lbs, but it still worked out really well. The seasoning was perfect and I truly love your "bayou blast" seasoning. The chicken came out so juicy and seasoned, until I couldn't help myself but to keep eating it before I mix it in the soup. I shared it with my best friend and she shared it with co-workers at her job. They all thought it was wonderful too! It was truly worth the work! Only three more words to sum up this recipe...........Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!
