Emeril this dish was absolutely wonderful! I only used 1 large chicken, about 5 lbs, but it still worked out really well. The seasoning was perfect and I truly love your "bayou blast" seasoning. The chicken came out so juicy and seasoned, until I couldn't help myself but to keep eating it before I mix it in the soup. I shared it with my best friend and she shared it with co-workers at her job. They all thought it was wonderful too! It was truly worth the work! Only three more words to sum up this recipe...........Mmmmm Mmmmm Good!

The soup had a great flavor. I added carrots to it as well. I did everything you said and the dumplings were like little dough strips and were not tasty. It was like biting into unflavored raw dough. I will keep the soup part of the recipe but will have to find another dumpling one. My Mom use to make dumplings that were a little doughy on the outside but the inside was like a mix between a cupcake and a biscuit. Maybe you meant these to be like raw dough I don't know. Some people may like it but I dont.

I love to cook and the only thing better than having fun with the prep and cooking was setting down to eat this fabulous dinner. I served this at a "dinner club" dinner of all expert cooks and they all loved it. I can't wait to eat this again.

This was my first Emeril Lagasse recipe. It was easy to recreate and extremely delicious. I have been trying to recreate my Grandmothers recipe but Emerils was the "bomb"! Bam!

This was a work of love and a masterpiece. I've never been a big fan of pot pies or chicken and dumplings, but I found a recipe that I had every ingredient for. Wow! This was a winner...even for an infant! Great job Emeril. Thanks for sharing!

Don't change a thing! This actually beats my grandma's...it took me 29 years to find a recipe even comparable to hers, and this actually outdoes it!

My husband and my finicky daughter both were absolutely impressed with sunday dinner, this time. I would have personally preferred more vegetables, but my carnivore husband and daughter were perfectly fine with more meat than vegetables.

I used leftover rotisserie chicken (about 1/2 and 2 lbs of chicken legs and some leftover breasts that I had in the freezer and it still turned out well. I didn't have any "essence" nor all the components (i was missing the garlic and forgot to mince the fresh. I substituted a mixture of milk and butter for the cream and didn't have any peas. Through all of this, the dish turned out wonderfully!! I didn't want any puffy, biscuit-y dumplings and these were perfect!

    Thanks Emeril!!
