    This recipe makes the most delicious Chicken & Herbed Dumplings I have ever tasted! I followed the recipe exactly, and yes it is time consuming, but so worth it. I've been following this recipe for years, and each batch is better than the last. I looked at Rachel's, Paula's and some of the other chef's recipe, but they sounded a little artificial compared to Emeril's. Trust the reviews, it's worth all the time and effort, and you won't be disappointed. In fact, i'm making another batch tomorrow. My husband loves it too.

    Rich and full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. I followed the recipe except I substituted the whole chicken with chicken breast tenders and used a crock pot for the last part. I let it simmer for about an hour and a half after adding the dumplings. It's really not hard to make but the prep is pretty time consuming, otherwise I'd definitely plan on making this on a regular basis.

    This was sooooo good! Ive been making dumplings for a while but always used water the milk makes them so fluffy. I omitted the thyme because my husband hates it.I just sprinkle the dumplings with flour before i drop them into the pot so they keep together I find that always work for me instead of refrigerating them.My husband doesn't like stews but he kept telling me how delicious this was....def a keeper.

    This is the absolute best recipe for Chicken and Dumplings I have every found!!! We made this one winter day and took to some friends house, everyone loved it. Only thing.......I should have made more dumplings, they went fast. I did put my dumplings in the refrigerator for about an hour to help keep them together.

    outstanding... herbed dumplings were so flavorful but took longer to cook than stated. i threw the pot under the broiler before serving, i will cut them in half next time. time consuming but worth it for ultimate comfort food.

    OMG! I'm a pretty good cook, not a chef mind you. But no one walks away from my table hungry. Recipes are always asked for. This one kicks butt!! Soo flavorful. I did roll out the dough and cut the dumpling not drop them. Thats just the way I like them. I was taught to make chicken and dumpling by my friend from georgia, real old school. I must admit that emerils was way better. I will be adding it to the hit list for sure. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!! woo hoo!

    This was the best chicken and dumplings I have tasted. It was easy to make. I would suggest you start the day before to prepare the recipe as it does take about 2 hrs. to prepare.

    This was awesome! The fresh herbs really take this home! The dumplings, everything is fantastic although I did change the dumplings it was great!!

    Enjoyed making this recipe and had everything needed already in the house! HOWEVER, I only got a small bowl as my husband and inlaws ate the rest! Very flavorful and will try using dill instead of parsley next time. Loved It!
