I made this dessert because I liked the addition of cream cheese and it was so simple and fast to prepare. It has a very smooth, creamy texture.
Unfortunately, the ingredients contain little or no sugar and the recipe doesn't call for sugar so it was not sweet. I will make this again and sweeten the cream before adding it to the choc cream cheese mixture which should do the trick. I experimented with the one batch and made all our favorite flavors i.e. orange, almond, and hazelnut, and they all worked well with the chocolate.

This was my first try at an Emeril recipe, and my first coeur a la creme. I watched Ina Garten put one together, and thought because this recipe was chocolate, it must be better!
Unfortunately, this was not the case. 4:5 party goers really disliked this recipe. They said it was awful because it was not sweet. I may try it again, because it has merit, but if I do, I will use milk chocolate chips. I paired the recipe with raspberry sauce, which everyone enjoyed.
