I accidentally came across this recipe when searching for fudge recipes and couldn't resist trying. Substituted skim for whole milk and didn't do the whipped cream (since i had neither on hand and still enjoyed a wonderfully rich drink. I used espresso for the "strong coffee." I agree with the reviewer who said plan on serving 4-6, not 8-10, as the portions are pretty small, especially without the whipped cream on top.

I made this recipe yesturday and I have to say.. it's definately going to be made again and again in my house! Its so delicious! Loved the taste of the chocolate and coffee.. mixed with the other spices and ingredients! I do recommend for people to just put 2 cups of strong coffee. I'm a coffee lover (and espresso lover too but I think adding 2 1/2 cups of strong coffee is just too much.

I totally messed up with this recipe so I'm sure I didn't get the flavor that I should have. I didn't find the unsweetened cocoa powder and desperate to make this I settled for hot chocolate mix!!!! And not just that but I forgot to NOT add the amount of sugar it called for because the mix already has sugar! The result was a very very sweet rich chocolate-y drink that gave me a stomach ache. Will try with the right chocolate next time.

This is a wonderful recipe and so easy to make! I made this with brown sugar bacon (also on this site AND amazing as well and home made croissants.Plan on one recipe serving 4-6 ( I made half a recipe for 3 people and I wanted more. My sister, who recently returned from Italy, says that it beat the coffee she had there. If you're looking for a great recipe, make this!

I made this Christmas morning. It was super easy, and a *major hit*, better than Starbucks!
Thank you, Emeril. I love you!!!!!
