I prepared this punch for a Girls Night Out Party I hosted over the weekend and it was a big hit. I'm really glad I decided to double the ingredients because was a huge success. The location of the party changes every month and I have already been told no matter whose hosting I am on punch detail.

This drink is fabulous. We used it as a "welcome" drink when guests arrived for a Christmas party. We used champagne flute glasses; rimmed the glasses with super-fine sugar and put pomegranate seeds in the bottom of each flute. Guests ranged in age from early twenties to fifties and everyone loved the drink. It looked very festive with the red pomegranate seeds and the sugar and was so easy to make and have in a punch bowl for guests to replenish their flutes themselves as the evening progressed.

I served this at a holiday party to mostly beer and wine drinkers. I thought I would only make one bowl, but ended up making three double batches! There was a lot of beer and wine leftover. Many have asked for the recipe. Easy, tasty, and festive. Would definitely make it again.

I served this punch last weekend at my Ornament Exchange Party and it was a huge hit with all 30 women. I ended up with a lot of wine leftover because everyone drank the punch. To answer an earlier question -- I used dry vermouth. I also made an ice ring like one of the other reviewers suggested (I filled some water in a bundt cake pan for the ice ring...it fit perfectly in my punch bowl and added lemon wedges and strawberries as shown in the photo. Note: to fill my average size punch bowl, I had to triple the recipe. I ran out within the first hour of the party and had to send my husband for more champagne to make another bowl. I had many requests for the recipe. If you need a great punch, this will not disappoint!

I made this for my inlaws last New Years Eve. It was a BIG HIT! Its the perfect punch to go with most all appetizers - spicy, savory, sweet, whatever. I look forward to making it again this New Years Eve.

This punch is great! Especially when you know the type of party and guests you are inviting. I have made this punch 5 times already. It is really good. You must drink it slowly or it will catch up with you.
