    Maybe I'm biased because the first cookbook I ever had was the NY Times cookbook, but while this one was good, there's was a little easier, and a little heartier.

    I'm a culinary student at Stratford Univ. taking American Regional Cooking. I had to make a dish for my mid-term. I needed to make something that took some effort but would be smashing good. Although i had this recipe in my school book I chose Emeril's because he has never failed me with a good tasting recipe. And, I received the highest score in my class. Thanks Emeril!

    Loathe tho I am to recommend *anything* Emeril does, I have to give the devil his due. This is a very tasty dish, with the curry & currants giving it a slightly exotic flavor that's more comforting than challenging. Somewhat labor intensive tho.

    This was rated as a medium difficulty, however I thought it was VERY easy. It was absolutely delicious! Even my 2 year-old daughter loved it!
