I don't normally like cranberry on thanksgiving but to recipe is fantastic. It has become a Thanksgiving staple and everyone raves about it. I omit the raisins as I don't like them but follow the rest of the recipe exactly. You can't go wrong with this recipe.

Great recipe but I add Pecans to take it over the top.

This is an excellent cranberry side. I've made it the last four years at thanksgiving and I've gotten rave reviews. One person even had additional serving at end of meal. It is easy to make!

Made this for Thanksgiving. It was very easy to make. Everyone loved it. I loved it too, but it was sweeter than I expected. I I think I would have liked it a little more tart. Next year I'll try reducing the sugar and adding more cranberries.

This was tasty, and convenient since I had some left-overs from the holiday to figure out what to do with, but I was missing some of his ingredients. So, I swapped the orange for a grapefruit, used a dash of orange extract, hazelnuts for the pecans, and added some dried apricots and a cinnamon stick, YUM poured over left-over panettone(some whipped cream over top doesn't hurt either.

Back in 1987, I developed a recipe for a cranberry conserve which won a blue ribbon at a county fair in Alabama. After making it again this year to give as Christmas gifts to neighbors in New England, I decided to compare my recipe with others I might find on the internet. Lo and behold, Emeril and I must think alike because his recipe is only slightly different from mine. How could I not give it a 5 star rating?

I did not see the TV show featuring this recipe. Apparently, based on an early review of the recipe, Emeril throws in an entire orange, rind and all. I've made this recipe both ways -- without the rind and with (using only a quarter of the full rind Even with the small amount that I used, the rind gives it a bitter quality I didn't care for. Without the rind, this recipe is to die for.
