I make large batches with half the orange. If you are a Costco member keep Kirkland Tawny Porto around just for this. I have used cheaper ports from Trader Joe's and no one wants to eat it. I would start out with about 75% of the sugar it calls for and see if it needs more. Agave Nectar is nice if is needs a little more. I have never like a large amount or Orange in the cranberry sauce. I only used two oranges for a quad batch.

Absolutely Fantastic!!! Make it every year, this recipe has made me a lover of cranberry sauce! It's over the top great! I always have to triple the recipe..it goes fast! I do almost double sugar and have found brand of ports do make a difference. This year I ordered ahead of time to get my FAV port just for this recipe. Never have I been so excited to see UPS show up so I could start this!

Delicious recipe and easy to make. I love the depth that the port lends to the cranberries. I increased my sugar to just under 1 cup for a more balanced sweetness.
