Ingredients

  • 1 cup seeded, quartered mangoes
  • 1 cup stemmed, halved strawberries
  • 1 banana, quartered
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup orange or pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4-cup coconut flakes

Directions

Place ice cubes in a blender and crush. Add the fruit, yogurt, juice, rum, and lime juice and process on high speed until frothy and thick. Pour into 2 tall glasses and top each with 2 tablespoons of coconut flakes. Serve immediately.

    I did this recipe without the rum in that we do not drink and I do have young kids. It was good and healthy. My kids... wanted more sweetness so next time I may try it with vanilla yogurt.Read more

    Great, but rum for breakfast?

    These were very good and refreshing. I just don't see them as a breakfast meal with the rum in it.
