I don't like the traditional fruit cake, saw this and decided to try it, it was great. I have made it for several years and other people I know that don't like fruit cake loved this!

    This recipe seems so good.
I always make my fruit cakes for holydays and this year , I think I will make this one.
But I would like to know the cooking time for little cakes like loaf cakes or mini loaf cakes, please.
I like to make little ones instead of a big cake. Thank you and I would like an answer, please.

I've been making this since it was first televised. I will never buy a commercially made fruit cake again. These cakes are the best!

I have always wanted to make a homemade fruitcake, and now I have and we were thrilled with the results. I plan on making a few more to give away to people I know who love fruitcake. Love Emeril! Wish they would bring back Emeril Live :(

I have been making this for 4 years and my friends love it. I add more fruit and use rum instead of bourbon. I make it with dried tropical fruits and macadamia nuts and wrap it in cheese cloth and refrigerate for weeks. Makes for a different fruit cake but wonderful. Makes great mini loafs for gifts.

After the first year I made this, it has been a requirement from my family every year. It is really easy to make. I used dried cherries and dried apricots, which has been a fan favorite.
