Great side dish to bring to a Hawaiian-theme dinner. I had to double the recipe and to do so the only thing I did not have to double was the papaya. 1 large papaya came to 3 cups so there was no need to cut up the second one I had bought. Sweet & sour and some nice new flavours!

    TOO SWEET
I used regular ripe papaya and it did not need but about 1/3 or none of the sugar.....
Vidalia onions make a nice healthy addition.

I've made this several times with the Paniolo Hawaiian Cowboy Steak. I've even experimented by adding mango to the marinade. It's awsome every time!

This is a great salad or salsa for a shrimp or crab salad. I use serrano chilies and sprinkle cayenne on top before serving. YUMMY!
