I loved this burger! Nothing like the taste of chili/cumin with one of my favorite types of ground meats. I thought the flavors would be overwhelming but the final product is quite tasty. I will try these same spices on gound beef or turkey next. I am not sure why someone would think of this as "gamey" when the spices blend so well with lamb that actually you may not even know you are eating an 'alternative' burger!

I am always looking for alternative burgers, and last year I tried this recipe. I have "had" to make the burgers several times since then, by popular demand. While burgers made from something other than ground beef might take a more sophisticated palate than many people have, we found these to be a welcome addition to our repertoire of quick family meals!

The lamb in this recipe gave it a decidedly 'gamey' and musty taste that did not sit well with the family or neighborhood friends. We bought the freshest lamb available, but it was still overpowering. The seasonings didn't do much for the flavor either. This was really, really bad.
