I made this exactly as directed. We couldn't detect any beer, garlic, or lemon flavor at all in the crab legs (some of the legs were halved, so the flavor should have penetrated them at least a little. Save the beer--steam the crab legs over plain water!

I haven't made king crab legs in years so was hesitant. I tried this one and my husband and I loved it. Thanks so much!

I used budlite w/lime. i also added an extra head of garlic and one extra lemon because mine were pretty small. I squeezed the lemons into the beer before dropping them in. These crab legs were super yummy!! I also served them with garlic butter. What I loved most about this was it took 2 mintues to pull everything together really easy simple recipe with an awesome end product. I totally recommend.

anyone ever try to do this on the grill? would it hold enough steam to work? I have some ginormous crab legs & don't have anything big enough to cook them in other than my grill. thoughts?

The steaming liquid smelled so I good I wanted to drink it! The crab was tasty. I also used Sam Adams for the beer. I will definitely make these again.

This was a very easy recipe that made for a delicious dinner. We used a pale ale and added some Old Bay seasoning to the mix- very good flavor. We stuffed ourselves so that no crab would go to waste.

Using Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, a fine drinking beer, made the crab have distinct beer flavor. The beer flavor was a bit too much for my liking. I think that a lighter beer with more citrus would work well.
