This recipe was outstanding! The legs had tremendous flavor. We cooked 8lbs of legs whole, we did not split as the recipe stated. The end result was... awesome! We cooked the legs whole for 13 mins and it worked well. Not having any "premium ale" on hand, we used Miller Lite. We also used a turkey fryer and cooked 4lbs at a time. When cooking 4lbs, more than one head of garlic is needed.

Wow! I used a light corona, limes, and then added a bit of pesto to the melted butter- just for variety! Simple and a great meal in under 20 minutes!

I did this twice the best way to do this I think is grab your fav cheep beer. I did it with ale ??? I also did lite beer. Great all the way around. I will say the lite beer was just as good and I had extra when the crab was done :. Would give it a 4 star scale. Easy to do and the family loved it.

Very easy recipe with just a hint of lemon and garlic noticable. I used a lightly hopped lager (Bud rather than an ale and the legs turned out wonderful.

These were great. I used 2 bottles of pale ale and 2 lemons, as well as the garlic...that amount was plenty for my steamer.
Other reviewers were right, the drawn butter wasn't needed - they were sweet enough!

This was good. The flavor of the liquid used for steaming was strong, so choose wisely.
