I tried this on a cold, snowy Michigan Sunday, and was ecstatic to have found such a warm, comforting soup! It's hearty like a chili when you add additional noodles and spinach, as another reviewer suggested. I loved it so much, I'm making it for my in-laws again this weekend! You won't be disappointed!

This recipe was just alright. While it tasted ok, it just was not hardy enough for me.Would probably be better with more than 1/2 cup pasta and maybe some extra veggies or spinach as some other reviewers noted. Will not make again.

This soup takes a while to prepare (molding and browning the meatballs, but it is well worth it. My family loves soups when the weather starts cooling off and this soup is plenty filling for a dinner meal. I would suggest not adding the pasta until 15 minutes before you plan to serve the soup as it will get overdone otherwise. The rest of the soup could be make well ahead of time and refrigerated and reheated prior to adding the pasta.

We love this dish. We watched it on Emeril Live and decided to try out the recipe. When the weather here becomes wet and cold, this delicious meatball soup is our favorite as dinner as well as leftover for lunch! It is so easy to make and it taste delicious - this is the best kind of dish!

Although the directions say, "medium," this soup is easy to make. It is a bit time-consuming because of the meatballs, but well worth the time. Thanks Emeril!

This soup is absolutely full of flavor and so easy to make. From start to finish you can it ready in less than 2 hours. Of course, if you decide to let it simmer longer it justs gets better. I did, however, pour some of the grease off after browning the meat before I added my vegetables and the rest of the ingredients. My husband kept telling me how delicious it was and said to please keep the recipe. Brought it to work today for our lunch and simmered on slow in my crock pot and the flavors had the office smelling wonderful. I plan to make this for my family during Christmas while everyone is home. I highly recommend for everyone to try.

I made this after searching for a recipe to use up some leftover frozen meatballs. I began with the onion/celery step while my meatballs browned in the oven, then added them to the soup as called for in the recipe. The result was delicious, rich & hearty. My family ate it up! The only problem was a lack of broth; next time I'll double the amount of liquid & cook the pasta separately. Can't wait to make it with the homemade meatballs!!
