My husband is a huge fan of salisbury steak, however, I have never found a really great recipe until now. This has fantastic flavor. Yes, a bit labor intensive but so worth it!

This was very tasty, but very labor intensive with a lot to wash in the end. Would I do it again? Yes, but only if I have company over, too much work for just the two of us. Looking forward to the sauce tomorrow on the leftovers, a sauce like this usually gets better the next day. Very good indeed if you are cooking for a group of four ? six, but for just the two of us way too much effort. Still giving it a 4 star rating.

I made this for company last week and I dreamed about it it was so good. The only thing I didn't have was the veal so I just used more chuck. Yes, this is time consuming but so worth it. Never in a million years would I have thought salisbury steak could be so tasty. I will definitely make this again. And again.

Can I first tell you that when you sit down to eat this meal, your taste buds will have a party in your mouth!!!!! It is like a marriage made in Heaven! We did not have any veal so we used extra ground sirloin and ground pork. The gravy is to DIE for, and the roasting of the garlic mashed with the Yukon potatoes was OUTSTANDING! We had a group of 12 people for dinner, so we doubled this dish! Ohhhhhh, and were we glad we did, LEFTOVERS! Every single person went nuts and asked for this recipe! If we could have given this dish more than the five stars we would HAVE! COMFORT FOOD BEYOND! Enjoy, and we will make sure to keep this in our SPECIAL meals! Thank you Emeril!

I thought this recipe was very good. I would rate it a 5 on taste, but it was alot of work compared to a normal recipe for salisbury steak. If you love that gormet flavor instead of down home comfort food, this recipe is for you.

I made this recipe tonight and it was DELICIOUS! It did take a little extra time to get together, but well worth it. I too would make a bigger batch of gravy. I cut the recipe in half for two of us, and had plenty left over. The mashed potatoes were great. I would make this again. To have for a holiday or have company over, it would be very impressive. Thanks!

Although somewhat time-consuming, this was a great recipe. We had some *nasty* hamburger patties that I chopped up and used in equal parts with the ground pork. The meat went from practically inedible to pretty tasty - use good stuff and I'm sure it will be delicious! The sauce was fabulous (we ate all of that - next time I'd do a double batch of it. I used dried herbs and it was fine (cut the amount way back, though.
