Super yummy! Easy and not too time consuming. I even had enough time left to make home-made egg noodles to go with it! My family absolutely loved it!

I didn't realize Emeril had 2 recipes for beef stew and put the review under the wrong one and will try again with the right receipe! I made this stew Saturday night, I actually made 2 pots, one for my husband and one for me since I can't eat onions and garlic. It was the BEST beef stew we have ever eaten!! Even mine without onions and garlic had so much flavor!! I made enough for left overs and for the first time, we both, can't eat for left overs Tuesday to ea the stew again.! I will be making it one Saturday every month until summer comes!!

VERY GOOD.. EVERYONE LOVES THIS BEEF STEW. TAKES ABOUT 2 HOURS PLUS I COOKED ANOTHER 2 FOR EXTRA TENDER BEEF.( I CUT MY BEEF INTO SMALLER PIECES, JUST MY PREFERENCE.SO FOR ME IT IS A GOOD SUNDAY MAKING MEAL. DEFINATELY NOT FOR CRAZY WEEK DAY. I USED A BIT LESS FLOUR BECAUSE IT WAS TOO THICK LAST TIME I MADE IT . IT MAKES ALOT. ENOUGH FOR QUITE FEW MEALS. DID ADD ALOT MORE SALT ALSO. MY 12 YEAR OLD SON ALWAYS ASK FOR THIS. I MAKE IT WHEN EVER BEEF ROAST ARE ON SALE AT THE GROCERY STORE.

I'm just finishing up the stew with the potatoes. I tasted a piece of the meat and it is DELICIOUS!!! I can't wait to dive in. I will be making this again on Wednesday. My Co-Workers, some of the ladies I work with, once a month eat lunch together. We bring our best dishes. This is the best Beef Stew I've tasted. It will be going with me to work on the 21st of this month. Thanks Emeril!

Pretty good. The parsley is a great addition at the end. It struck me that this is another "meat and potatoes" dish in the end, but who doesn't like meat and potatoes? The taste and texture are just what I'd expect from a classic stew recipe. I added some frozen peas near the end which seemed a nice addition from a color perspective if nothing else. I cooked for about 4 hours on a low simmer.

I have never been disappointed in a meal by Emeril until now. Too spicy and not enough flavor. Also, took way longer than stated.

This dish was so great! I did make a couple minor adjustments such as adding a bit more broth and more spice. I love spicy foods and the broth of stews and soups. The base, courtesy of Mr. Emeril, was fantastic!! It was such a hit among my boyfriend and friends they have requested it a second time : I have to agree with other comments on the duration it took to make this though...definitely NOT 40 minutes...more like a few hours to allow the meat to get tender.

Finally found a beef stew that's worth the work. One negative:: The cook time at the top says 40 mins. It's NOT. This is more like 2 hrs worth of cooking plus prep time.
