    This a good base recipe that needs some tweaking. I subsitute chipotle pepper for cayenne and fire roasted tomatoes over the regular crushed tomatoes. Also I recommend you drop the vegtable oil and render some smoked bacon and double the beans if you like beans.

    This chili was VERY good but very spicy for me. If you like it spicy, don't change a thing. Although, for me, next time I will cut back on the Chili Powder and probably completely eliminate the Crushed Red Pepper. YUMMY!!!

    This is the best chili I've ever had. You can add different hot peppers to play with the heat, but it's alway good. Fantastic crowd pleaser and great cooked over an open fire.
