I tried this recipe for the first time during a Super Bowl party at my friends house. I made most of it at home, then carefully transported it to the party where I added the masa flower and water, then added the beans cooking an additional 45 minutes, sticking to the recipe to the letter.Everyone loved it! There was a lot of food already as I served this at halftime,so I had some leftovers. We ate it the next night. The second heating thickened it even more and increased the spicyness a bit. I will make this again. HINT: Do serve with the sour cream as some of the people thought it to be a little too spicy, a dollop of sour cream has a cooling affect on the spices. But most of us like it spicy.

My husband and I both agree this is the best Chili we have ever eaten and nearing the 50's we have eaten our fair shares of Chili. Along with the Chili I also made up a batch of Emeril's Chili Con Queso. Talk about a winning combination!! Simply put and in Emeril's own words.....OH YEA BABE!!! SIMPLY THE BEST!!!

I have been making this recipe for over a year now. My husband brags about this to anyome and everyone. I don't usually put 8 cups of Beef Stock in, it will take a lot longer to thicken. I use about half that. It's easy and delicious!

This was a huge hit. I served with the sour cream and a teaspoon of guacamole! Everyone raved. Easy enough to make often and feed a crowd. I used a large can of kidney beans accidently but can't imagine it with less.
    YUMMY!

My 83 year old father had three bowls of this chili....and he hates chili. I used sirloin instead of stew meat and let it cook an extra 40 minutes. Also made sure to use San Marzanno tomatoes, much more pungent. Make this, freeze it, you're family will love you for it.

I tried this for Super Bowl Sunday. Figured what the heck! I added black beans along with the dark Red Kidney beans, all rinsed of course. Family is still raving about this Chili; & it now has become our Chili recipe. I also served it as Emeril had on his show. It is very filling!!

We loved this chili, and it was very simple to make. We did not use the crushed red pepper, though. We used diced mild green chiles, and it was very good. The way Emeril made it is exactly how it looked. Maybe next time we will get brave and use the crushed red pepper? :
