This recipe isn't good. It's amazing! I tweaked it just a little (no juniper, white potatoes, but it was absolutely delicious and everyone had seconds.

A little beer for the cook....a little beer for the casserole...what's not to love??!!! Great stuff. Never met an Emeril recipe I didn't like. Thanks!

We have a foreign exchange student from Germany living with us. In trying to make him feel comfortable, I made this recipe. He loved it, especially because it had the knockwurst and bratwurst in it. In Germany, this dish is usually served with potatoes, so it could not have been better. Delicious flavor. If you are looking for authentic German food, try this one!!! Thanks, Emeril!!

Given the ingredients in this dish, I expected a lot of flavor. It was basically cabbage soup. The sauerkraut had no flavor. The only part I enjoyed with sausage, which was added toward the end and still had its flavor. I won't make this again, and I am disappointed.

Since the Steelers weren't playing this year, more attention was focused on the food. Everyone loved this dish; nothing left. Will make again and again.

This is a great crowd pleaser recipe. Great for buffets too. Very simple to make and tastes better the next day. The more variety the better the flavor. Dish it up and let everyone get a piece of everything. It is amazing.

We had a German visitor for dinner last night so I made this casserole. He raved at how authentic it was (and ate two HUGE servings. We enjoyed the flavors immensely as well.

The aromatic quality of this fantastic dish teases & pleases your senses from start to finish. I used a 24oz bottle of New Castle Brown Ale to give it a little kick. This is an awesome dish.
