Just made this and while the prep time was a bit longer than indicated, the result was fabulous! My husband loved it and I even got my picky 12 year old to try it and like it!

I have made this receipe several times and it is fantastic. The aromas that fill your house are unbelievable. It does take a little longer to prepare but well worth it

I looked at a number of Osso Buco recipes before deciding to try my hand at this one. I had never made Osso Buco before, and consider myself a pretty unexperienced cook. I chose the recipe primarily because it was the only one I found that would provide me with the veal shanks and a side dish when I was done. I am SOOOO glad I chose this recipe. Not only was it fool proof, but it was delicious as well. We had left over orzo and it was even better the next day!

This recipe takes longer than the indicated 2 hours 10 minutes. If you follow the recipe instructions it will take 3 hours. But the result is magnificent. I have only made it for a dinner party, but plan to try to halve the recipe for my wife and myself. My guests raved about the osso buco and asked for the recipe the next day, if it was "not a family secret".
