    I think it might have been better fried, much like Paula does with her recipe, and although I love homemade peanut butter for pies and other things, it seems unnecessary here, other than to take up time. I'd also add that since this isn't for long storage peanut butter, you could easily get away with adding to the peanut butter honey, or even powdered sugar, which would have made for an excellent reason to make the peanut butter yourself. As is, it's simply too much work for a meal that isn't worth the effort it takes to make. Chips are terrible.
