    I am usually fairly good at cooking/baking so I decided to take this on for Christmas Eve dessert. This was the most complicated and confusing recipe I've ever seen. Needless to say, we are going to be having eggnog with bourbon for dessert.

    This recipe was perfect. I had no problems with it whatsoever. I had some lab rats try the Yule Log, and they all enjoyed it. I'm now planning to make two for my aunt's Christmas party.

    I served this recipe today for the holiday and it was wonderful! Very rich and full of flavor. I also followed the recipe to a T and I had no problems. The filling was not running for me at all. I don't know what everyone else is doing to there cakes, but mine was great. I plan on making it every year! Thank you Food Network!

    Followed all of the instructions verbatim, but still the sponge cake cracked and separated in numerous sections, and the filling was runny and hard to contain in the cake. Overall, the taste was alright, but the presentation wouldn't have worked without smothering the "cake" (even though it didn't resemble one in the slightest in chocolate frosting and festive sprinkles. This recipe was very disappointing.

    I don't know what happened, but I followed the recipe exactly (I thought and the cake ended up like a sheet of rubber. I had to throw it away and try another recipe.
