The only thing I changed was to use steamed broccoli instead of peas and I waited to add the cheese until I mixed in the pasta. This made it a little cheesier tasting than by melting it in the cream. The family loved it!

I'm a real purist when it comes to al Fredo and, as with other reviewers, I think this recipe has about twice as much shallot and garlic as it should have. Also, olive oil and heavy cream just don't mix in my book. Replace the olive oil with butter and cut back on the shallot and garlic and you've got a great dish.

Was a great sauce I made it for a tortellini but omitted the peas and my wife and I both loved it.... We will make this sauce again for sure
