This was the best steak we ever had. My husband wouldn't stop raving about. Absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing, Emeril.

While this is really filet with crab salad crust it works great. I agree with the previous post, cook your steak close to your final doneness prior to finishing in the oven. I added a bit of parmesian cheese to the crust prior to baking. Worked out great the the leftover salad will work as a dip or for sandwiches. Thanks Emeril!

I made this recipe for Valentine's Day this year. I cooked my steaks in a saute pan instead of the grill. I made the crab topping earlier in the day, so it saved some time. This is a great recipe, but it's rich so I suggest keeping the sides simple. I made roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus.

This recipe has such a nice presentation and really makes dinner feel like a special occasion. I didn't even use filets (too expensive, and steak came out deliciously juicy and tender.

I made it for my girl friend who can be a bit picky. (She doesn't like mayo, for example. She LOVED it! I found it challenging to come up with something good to serve with it. I settled for some couscous and fresh asparagus with a port wine reduction.
